| Job Description | Study and understand the project scope and specifications as well as the ITP’s and Method statements with respect paining and insulation. Receive the RFI (Request for Inspection) from the discipline staff and carry out the inspection of the painting and insulation as per the ITP, identify any discrepancies and generate the Non Conformance Report. Carry out inspection of work in progress including checking if the right procedure is followed for the welding as well as the check for the qualification of the welding personnel and the kind of materials being used for the process. Carry out the inspection of materials related to Mechanical for conformity with quality norms as per project specifications and prepare OSDR (Oversize/Over material Shortage Damage Report), which needs to be submitted to QC Coordinator and Materials Department. Review all mechanical jobs for progress as per project schedule and specifications and also prepare daily surveillance audits onsite to check for any deviations and update on the work in progress. Facilitate inspection of all mechanical jobs at the project site by the client. Coordinate with the Project’s Safety, Environment and certification engineer and ensure that all statutory requirements are met. Plan and direct internal and external quality audits as well as analyse the results, issue audit reports followed by the assessment, monitoring and verification of the implementation of corrective actions. Review of all certification and documentation to ensure validity and compliance with specifications, drawings, manufacturing and inspection test plans. Liaise with the Engineering Manager for the resolution of construction requests for clarification, site queries and non-conformances. Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on the quality status of all activities with their schedule for completion. Prepare QC documents for MCD (Mechanical Completion Document) for review by the QC Coordinator which is finally handed over to the client. Close and handle all issues and queries as have been identified/raised by the client in the CAR (Corrective Action Report). Educate and train line managers and workmen on the quality norms. Carry out any other duties as required by the direct supervisor. |
| Profile | Works as a part of a team and ensures the completion of all QA/QC mechanical activities on site as per client’s requirements. Recommends methods to improve overall quality and assists in analyzing quality concerns. Works closely with the related engineering departments to develop corrective procedures and analyze results and findings of all inspection activity. |
