Job Description Senior Civil Engineer – Potable Water Pumping Stations

• Working as Client Representative within a multi-disciplinary team, for supervision of the construction works which are being carried out by an EPC Contractor;
• Review/comment and approve Contractor’s design, material submittals, drawings and other project relevant documentation and correspondence;
• Plan, monitor and supervise work of other construction supervision Engineers;
• Participate in Client and Contractor facing technical and progress meetings;
• Coordinate with the Client and Contractor and liaise with relevant Authorities;
• Proactive liaison with all parties for site safety;
• Ensure prompt exchange and recording of correspondence and approvals

Profile • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 13 years of engineering experience, 10 of which will have been in construction supervision and 5 years on projects in water sector in the Middle East
• Possess strong technical knowledge and site management background in potable water pumping/processing sites, particularly in association with earthworks, buried large diameter ductile iron/steel pipework, buried and utility building structures, materials specification;
• Experience of large diameter welded steel tanks an advantage
• Demonstrate competence in managing and leading other team members
• Familiarity with applicable international standards;
• Experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the water/wastewater industry;
• Must have previously worked pumping station projects;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
