Job Description: Sales Engineer

Reports to
Senior Sales Manager

Reports from
Sales, Customers, Visitors, Production, Logistics, Government Authorities across G.C.C

Location
Muscat {Optional Nizwa}; Open to travel extensively within G.C.C

Specific Responsibilities:
Planning

1. Assisting in planning and formation of marketing and sales strategy.
2. Achieve monthly sales, margin, and conduct targeted Sales Programs;
3. Involve in Penetration of new markets and directly manage all sales activities across G.C.C
4. Involve in expanding our export business and drive the territory sales by actively pursuing new
prospective accounts and establishing new category distribution either in new accounts or in
new area of existing customers.
5. Involve in establishing realistic sales quotas and methods to attain the quotas and develop
accurate sales forecasts to boost account penetration.
Presentations
6. Conduct product training, sales presentations and application seminars for customers, both at
the factory and in the field. The seminars will cover equipment application, new products and
sales techniques, etc
7. Participating in trade shows and communicate related activities to Head Office.
8. Interact with responsible parties to ensure tasks are clearly communicated & effectively carried
out Serve as a conduit of information and leadership for sales force & customers.
Enquiry and Order Processing
9. Quotations / Tenders: Timely Preparation and submittal of quotations to customers. These
may be Commercial quotations, or may involve extensive technical documents supplied by the
customer.
10. Maintain the correspondence and quote files.
11. Ensure that orders received have the correct financial documentation and back-up so that
payment is assured. May assist Accounts Receivable in matters of collection.
Market Research
12. Research and maintain an understanding of all commodities, the current G.C.C market, and the Competition
13. Advises Manager on competitor activities, pricing, product distribution and related
strategies.
14. Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the following:
A. Assistance in coordinating monthly newsletter, marketing promotions, literature, and
competitive information.
B. Assist in hosting visitors at the factory.

General Responsibilities:
1. Application Engineering: The Sales Engineer must gain technical knowledge of our products.

This involves two categories:
a. Product Performance and specifications.
b. Application of products to specific industries and processes.
2. Visits clients regularly to ensure good relations are developed and maintained and communicate
with our customers and to answer their technical questions.
3. Interact with other departments in the organization to insure the proper handling of customer
requirements.
4. Travel nationally and internationally to increase our volume of business through trade
shows, business meetings and existing customer network.
5. Provide relevant reports to manager as and when required.

Skills and Attributes
· 10 + Years of experience in Omani market- Covering similar Customers- Oil & Gas/ Power sector- ultimate Clients Contractors.
· Engineering Graduate/ Diploma
· Age - Above 30 years
· Personality traits such as- Persuasion/ Perseverance & stability
· Willingness to learn & adapt.
